Topic: Karl Rove is a TRAITOR!
As many of you have probably read this week, Time Magazine has given in to pressure to release the notes of reporter Matt Cooper who had the source information regarding who leaked the information that Valerie Plame (wife of Ambassador Joseph Wilson) was a CIA agent. According to about everywhere on the net (that isn't talking about what's going to happen with Sandra Day O'Connor's seat on the bench...A truly scary thing in and of itself) a "senior political analyst" from MSNBC says that he has known who the leaker was for some time.
He said he didn't really want to get dragged into the Grand Jury iunvestigation but since the notes have been given up (And allegedly Newsweek is planning a cover story about it) he let it fly on The McGlaughlin Group TV show as well as blogging about it on The Huffington Post. Just because I like to write out things then have a quote re-stating the exact same thing (it's like REAL news!) Here's what that political analyst, Lawrence O'Donnell said on Huffington (huffingtonpost.com):
"I revealed in yesterday's taping of the McLaughlin Group that Time magazine's emails will reveal that Karl Rove was Matt Cooper's source. I have known this for months but didn't want to say it at a time that would risk me getting dragged into the grand jury. Since I revealed the big scoop, I have had it reconfirmed by yet another highly authoritative source. Too many people know this. It should break wide open this week. I know Newsweek is working on an 'It's Rove!' story and will probably break it tomorrow."
TA-DAH!!! *does a happy dance*
Karl Rove is a fucking traitor! He should go to jail! At the very least, lose his fucking job in disgrace! Of course, this appears to be the truth at this point but we must wait until after the holiday (likely) to get this confirmed. I sure hope it's true...This could be just the thing we need to see that evil cocksmoker removed from his position. Even better is that should they remove him he may remain tainted for the rest of his political life and the days of Rovian politics may possibly come to a close.
If you don't know much about Karl Rove and his methodology may I suggest the movie/book "Bush's Brain." Or, if you like liberal generalities, then go no further than understanding that every underhand, bullshit thing the Bushies have done, said or perpetrated (including the sham election of 2000) you can look no further than Karl Rove. Sure Cheney, Rumsfeld and Dubya are complicit criminals (among others) in all this horseshit up top but Rove is the reason for the season and I really hope that this brings that fuck down. Even better might be if he denies and then Dubya protects thus destroying his whole Presidency over this. I read Joseph Wilson's book and I thought that THERE was a story that could get them...Not overnight, or all at once but leaking a CIA agent identity is motherfucking treason.
Good timing too as the importance of the bush Presidency is ON now with the definite need of a new Supreme COurt Justice and the President's unprecedented popularity which is fabulously documented by a recent Zogby poll (afterdowingstreet.com):
"A Zogby poll released on June 30 finds 42 percent of Americans — including 25 percent of Republicans - say that "if it is found that President Bush did not tell the truth about his reasons for going to war with Iraq, Congress should hold him accountable through impeachment." According to Zogby, in Eastern and Western states supporters of impeachment outnumber opponents."
Hmm, and if you thought maybe that speech last week may have won over some recent doubters?
"Just one week ago, President Bush’s job approval stood at a previous low of 44%—but it has now slipped another point to 43%, despite a speech to the nation intended to build support for the Administration and the ongoing Iraq War effort. The Zogby America survey includes calls made both before and after the President’s address, and the results show no discernible “bump” in his job approval, with voter approval of his job performance at 45% in the final day of polling."
Well now, has this been a big summer in politics or what?! Six months into Bush II and he already is scraping the very bottom of the barrel. His main guy, his top advisor, his "brain" is a fucking traitor. I really don't think an impeachment is good for the country. The useless one with Clinton was extremely painful and to consider this at a time of war seems irresponsible. That is, if this were simply conjecture causing this kind of doubt of Bush. That said, there is real and actual reason to harbor these doubts. There is authentic proof that Bush did LIE to Congress, to the American People and really the whole God Damn planet. Who does this self-righteous cowboy think he is? The President of the United States or the king of the world?!
In Bob Woodward's excellent book 'Shadow,' whihc examines the affects of the Watergate scandal on all the following Presidents. This particular passage is of interest as it pertains to the idea of "impeachment":
"Watergate had taught Thompson (Sen. Fred Thompson (R) Tennessee now retired and strangely enough is now an actor on Law & Ordr!?) how difficult it is to remove a president. Four elements had to be present: low public opinion polls, a bad economy, a hostile media, and incontrovertible evidence, such as tapes with the president ordering illegal activity. All had been present for Nixon. In Thompson's view, none were here in the Clinton case." (pg 508-509, Shadow. Woodward)
So, ask yourself the obvious question here, are these four elements present now?
