"Dr. Rice is a principal architect, implementer, and defender of a series of Administration policies that have not made our country as secure as we should be and have alienated much-needed allies in our common cause of winning the war against terrorism. Regrettably, I did not see in Dr. Rice's testimony any acknowledgment of the need to change course or of a new vision for America's role in the world."
Well, I like that Kerry is sticking to his guns. He talked like this all through his campaign and he appears to mean it. The only good thing about his losing was that he didn't lose his regular job and still has a chance to help. It's not much but it's something. He was one of 2 votes that said NO to Condi Rice's confirmation. Not enough but made a statement all the same. I wonder if he is going to try to run again in '08? By then maybe the rest of the country will see the forest for the trees as it concerns Dubya by then? Of course, you would think that would have happened in '04!?
(I nabbed this quote from 'Talking Points Memo' and I highly recommend that blog, especially if you are tracking the brewing social security "crisis" the administration is concocting lately. Josh Marshal knows his shit.)
