Slow day at the office makes for posting more than usual...
At any rate, what is happening with the election over there? Where are the results? This popped up on the Tribune this afternoon:
"BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Iraqi officials said Wednesday they must recount votes from about 300 ballot boxes because of various discrepancies, delaying final results from the landmark national elections. Hundreds -- perhaps thousands -- of other ballots were declared invalid because of alleged tampering."
Uh-oh, does Iraq need to be introduced to Florida?
"Post-election violence mounted, raising fears that the Jan. 30 balloting had done little to ease the country's grave security crisis."
I just can't imagine why?! I figured everyone would've woken on January 31st and realized the futility of conflict, the wonders of American occupation and just rolled over and had themselves some peace and democracy.
What a tremendous surprise
